My cousin came to visit me in the office because he have a problem with his husband. She wants to have someone to talk to so I gave her my sympathy and tried to comfort her. My cousin is a very good person and I know that she is a responsible wife. I was surprised at first when she said that she has a problem with her married life. Before getting married, she already bought their own house and also all the appliances that a family needs in daily living.
Her problem now is his husband. She never knew before they get married that he is addicted to drugs. Her husband spends more money for drugs than spending for their necessities. He also drinks everyday and my friend is too good that she tolerates this for a long time. After saying her problem, I asked her about her plan and she told me that she wants her husband to undergo drug detox process. I told her that I will help her to find the best drug rehabilitation center for her husband where we can have her husband treated. We looked for a place that could offer the best drug rehab addiction intervention and luckily, we finally found it. Now, her husband is getting better each day and according to her in less time her husband will be back for good again.
Addiction is a treatable, preventable disease, yet millions of Americans are suffering. What is worse is that even those who do not suffer from addiction still suffer from its financial impact. Beyond the decline in health and lifestyle of the individual addict, the financial effects, both personally and socially, are devastating as well. Friends and family are left to deal with debt and medical bills while taxpayers end up forking out money for health care, welfare and treatment programs. Her husband knows that and now he is doing everything to come back in the right track of life and help his family.
