The Samsung CLP-300 is the smallest and least expensive colour laser printer on the market and is aimed at users who need something that can print faster than an inkjet with a similar purchase price. Running cost for the CLP-300 are better than you get from an inkjet Samsung CLP-300 toner cartridges are reasonably priced and they although print less than a normal colour laser they offer good value in terms of cost per page. Remanufactured Samsung toner cartridges are also avaible for the CLP-300. One of the advantages of having smaller printer cartridges is that the overall size of the machine can be reduced and Samsung have certain done that with the CLP-300 but they have also reduce the paper tray capacity to 150 sheets which is slightly disappointing as it means you have to keep replacing it with paper. The print quality of the CLP-300 is pretty average, black printing is better than colour and this is true for printing speed also, the CLP-300 is capable of 16ppm in black but only 4ppm in colour. Built quality is good overall but nothing special and in terms of design although the CLP-300 is functional it’s definitely not attractive, in fact I would go as far to say it ugly. As a printer that does what its designed to do the Samsung CLP-300 is good in that respect but it lacks the x-factor and doesn’t really offer anything more than it competitors apart from is compact size.
